As new homes begin to take shape in the Cambridgeshire village of Hauxton, Redrow is making itself at home in a new marketing suite.
Until now, properties at Hauxton Meadows have been sold ‘off plan’ via Bidwells in Cambridge. However buyers can now visit a sales centre at the Sanderson Manor phase of the development on Cambridge Road, where they can view floorplans, photographs, specification samples and even a model of the scheme.
Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), says: “Buyers have been really excited about the homes we’re building in Hauxton, especially the fact that they look very traditional compared to most other new builds in the surrounding area.
“We’ve already begun taking reservations via Bidwells from eager purchasers but we appreciate it’s important for people to get a feel for where they will live so it will be great to welcome them to the development itself. We’re also preparing fully furnished showhomes for viewing and expect to have these ready in time the for bank holiday weekend.”
Between them Sanderson Manor and its neighbour Cobden Gardens offer plenty of choice, from two-bedroom properties to substantial five-bedroom family homes. Current prices range from £419,950 to £774,950.
The external design of the homes is inspired by the architecture of the Arts & Crafts era, with the names of the first two phases giving a nod to T J Cobden-Sanderson, a designer from the Arts & Crafts era who studied law at Trinity College, Cambridge.
Redrow’s new homes are five minutes away from a park and ride service, providing easy access to Cambridge city centre. Junction 11 of the M11 is just over a mile from the development; or for those who want to let the train take the strain, Foxton Station is only three miles away with journey times of around an hour to London Kings Cross.
