Exclusive New Homes Development Celebrates Milestone
With three quarters of new homes at Compton Park in Wolverhampton now sold, the third anniversary of the opening is cause for double celebration.
Speaking at the launch in January 2013, Redrow chairman Steve Morgan heralded the scheme as ‘one of the most prestigious developments Wolverhampton has seen for decades’.
It’s now firmly established as one of the area’s most sought-after neighbourhoods and with limited availability those who aspire to live in one of the luxurious new homes will need to take swift action.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “Originally Compton Park was to offer 55 executive family homes, but due to demand we acquired an additional parcel of land for a further phase of 14 homes. To date we’ve sold 75% of the overall development and many of those properties are now occupied. We’re also working with a number of people who are keen to move here but who perhaps think they won’t be able to because they have a house to sell. We can help with that, either by securing a buyer for their property on the open market with our Mastermove service or by taking the customer’s home in part exchange for a brand new one here at Compton Park.”
Mastermove sees Redrow enlist an estate agent to market the customer’s property, keeping in regular contact with all parties to ensure the sales process runs quickly and smoothly.
To sell and buy using part exchange the customer must be selling a property that’s generally worth at least 35% less than the home they want to buy. If the price differential is suitable, Redrow will effectively act as a cash buyer for the client’s house so that they can purchase a home at Compton Park without getting caught up in a complicated, slow moving chain.
Current availability includes a choice of substantial detached four and five-bedroom homes with prices from £409,995 to £639,995.
The properties all enjoy a superb specification as standard and those who reserve early in the build process will have plenty of opportunities to customise their new home choosing things like the kitchen cupboards and bathroom tiles or adding extras such as a coffee machine, wine cooler or even a hot tub. Those who reserve before their new home is physically built can also opt to include under-floor heating to the ground floor.
In the largest properties four out of the five bedrooms benefit from en-suites.
As part of its commitment to ensuring the sustainability of the development, Redrow has invested around £6 million in the local community including £5.5million towards the relocation of St Edmund’s Catholic Academy. The housebuilder also worked with the nearby St Peters Collegiate School to provide classrooms and tennis courts worth around £100,000. The company has also invested £360,000 in providing a natural Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) to encourage wildlife to the Smestow Valley Nature Reserve, which adjoins the development and is a popular place for visitors from Wolverhampton and beyond.
The showhome and sales office at Compton Park are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
