Award winning sales consultant Stacy Carruthers is using her personal and professional experience to make herself at home in a new management role.
Stacy has been promoted from sales consultant to area sales manager based at Redrow Homes (South Midlands) in Northampton. She was previously named the company’s regional Sales Consultant of the Year based on her impressive sales rate at Rockingham View in Market Harborough.
To equip her with the tools for her new role, she has commenced a management and leadership training course. Stacy is currently overseeing the sales teams at Barley Fields in Earls Barton, Cransley Green in Broughton, Abode St Neots, plus River View and Castle Fields in Barton Seagrave. She will also oversee sales at a planned development in Wood Burcote.
“I had three years’ experience of selling homes before joining Redrow in May 2013,” Stacy said.
“What sets Redrow apart from its competitors is that there’s more to the company than just building a house and getting the customer moved in. There’s a lot of care involved both in the design of the homes and developments and in the training programmes.
“There’s a feel good factor amongst the staff and they care about the customers rather than it just being about numbers. It’s a more thoughtful process which makes it a more pleasant experience for the customer and means that you enjoy your work.”
Stacy, a mother-of-two, combines her professional expertise with personal experience as she lives in a new build home in the Kettering area.
“It gives me an edge because I have been there as a customer and have an insight into what they go through and how exciting it is,” she said.
“Moving house is everything to our customers because buying a home is a very emotional purchase.”
Stacy recognises that in the current market the main challenge is being able to satisfy demand for high quality housing.
“The market is very buoyant at the moment with prices still on the up and buyers keen to move, which is a good position to be in,” she added.
“We have a fantastic product in the Heritage Collection, which sets us apart from other builders. Plus the locations we build are much sought-after as when we’re assessing sites before we acquire them we take into consideration why someone would want to live there.”
Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: “The housing industry is in a strong position and as our business grows we need to expand our workforce. We’re committed to developing our personnel and so when the opportunity to strengthen our sales management team arose, Stacy was a natural choice to work alongside our experienced area sales managers Helen McGill and Alexis Wright.”
