Eager buyers are travelling more than 60 miles to view show homes to give them a taste of things to come in Shrewsbury.
In response to high demand Redrow has released selected properties at Lime Tree Meadows ‘off plan’, while others are available for ‘early bird’ reservation giving would-be buyers first refusal when that home goes on the market.
And while the homes currently available won’t be ready to move in to until towards the end of the year, that’s not deterring potential purchasers.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “We’ve already sold one home ‘off plan’ and have taken an ‘early bird’ registration from someone who wants to buy a property not yet released for sale. It’s a great start considering we’ve yet to open a show home.
“We’re currently working with potential purchasers to help match them with the perfect property. Some want to wait until they can see the show home here in Shrewsbury, but others are happy to travel to our developments in Leegomery, Shifnal and even further afield in Chester.”
Current availability at Lime Tree Meadows includes three and four-bedroom detached designs from the Heritage Collection.
Inspired by the architecture of the Arts & Crafts era, they will look traditional on the outside, but will be designed to meet the demands of modern lifestyles inside.
“People love the location of Lime Tree Meadows and part of the appeal is that this part of Shrewsbury is home to a choice of schools, backing up our own research which found that 72% of parents placed a good local school among their top reasons for choosing to live in an area,” Pauline added.
“We’ve also had lots of positive feedback from visitors who say the traditional style of our Heritage Collection homes will fit really well alongside existing properties in the neighbourhood.”
There are shops, restaurants and other amenities in the town centre, including the train station, which offers direct links to Birmingham and Chester with journey times of around an hour to each.
The sales office at Lime Tree Meadows on Ellesmere Road is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm. Show homes at the development are due to open in July. For more information see www.redrow.co.uk/lime or call 01743384259.
