Couple Scour The Country In Search For Second Redrow Home
Happy with their Redrow home but in need of extra space, the Smiths visited a dozen developments in their search for a larger property.
Jane and Don’s quest took them from the Midlands to the South West, before they eventually decided to buy at Park View in Hinckley. Their new home is just a few miles from their previous property – the former show home at another Redrow development, Eliot’s View.
And both purchases were handled by the same Redrow sales consultant – Alan Hames.
Jane explained: “When we moved back to England from Spain we bought the three-bedroom show home at Eliot’s View in Nuneaton because we thought we could downsize. We lived there for four years but realised that we needed somewhere bigger. We knew we liked Redrow homes and looked everywhere in our search for a new one, although nearly bought a 14-month old one.”
As their only other criteria was that their home had to be near a town, their search took them to around a dozen different Redrow locations, including developments across the counties of Shropshire, Leicestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon.
“We’ve bought numerous new build homes before but liked the look of the Heritage Collection and the after sales service from Redrow,” Jane added.
“Our children live in Hampshire and we have family in Cornwall so we looked close to those areas and as far as Telford. It’s a two hour journey from Hinckley to see our children and because we go away a lot we wanted to be close to the airport and motorway.”
Now settled into their new home, the couple, Don, a former mechanic and Jane who worked in sales, have plenty of space for their family to visit.
“The three-bedroom Tenby was lovely and cosy enough for two, but when we had two adults and two children come to stay we needed a bit more room. Moving to a larger Redrow home has made an enormous difference – the last time the family came to stay we couldn’t tell they were here,” Jane laughed.
Repeat customers like the Smiths are testament to the high specification and quality finish Redrow has built its reputation on.
“Our previous Redrow home sold within two hours because it still looked like a show home, even after we’d lived in it for four years,” Jane added.
“I will only buy brand new homes as I like to be the first person to use the kitchen and the bathroom. The only time I bought an older property I gutted it so that everything inside was new. I just like new homes – I don’t want to live in someone else’s home.”
Park View offers four-bedroom detached designs from Redrow’s Arts & Crafts influenced Heritage Collection. Combining the traditional charm of ‘period’ properties with the style and convenience of being brand new, they boast a high specification as standard. Current prices start from £239,995.
Located on Coventry Road, in Hinckley, the new homes are just five minutes from the local train station by car or circa 13 minutes on foot. Trains whisk passengers to Leicester in under 20 minutes, Birmingham in 35 minutes and Coventry within an hour. Even London can be reached inside 90 minutes, including driving to the station.
Show homes at Park View are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. For more information call 01455698229 or see www.redrow.co.uk/parkview.
