More than 150 eager buyers attended a preview of new Redrow show homes in Bedfordshire in a bid to stake their claim on a brand new property.
Feedback from those who attended the invitation-only launch has been positive and two people reservations were made by those who viewed properties at Caddington Woods at the earliest opportunity.
The Heritage Collection designs will be open to the public from this Saturday (September 10).
Professionally styled, decorated and fully furnished examples of the three-bedroom Warwick and four-bedroom Cambridge and Richmond house types will give an insight as to what life in a brand new Redrow home could be like.
Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homs (South Midlands), said: “Viewing remains an important part of the home buying process, with some saying they wouldn’t commit without being able to see, touch and experience what they are buying. In fact we had a list of people keen to see inside the show homes at Caddington Woods and invited those who registered their interest to have an exclusive first look before we open to the public this weekend.
“We’ve had some excellent feedback already and are confident visitors will be inspired by the aspirational yet achievable looks created by our expert interior designers, who’ve styled the show homes so that buyers can picture themselves living in the properties.”
With decorative larchlap boarding to its façade, the three-bedroom Warwick is a prime example of how Redrow’s Heritage Collection embraces traditional architectural features of the Arts & Crafts era. Step inside and it’s a property very much designed with modern living in mind.
To the ground floor there’s an open plan kitchen and dining room, separate lounge, cloakroom and laundry area. Upstairs, the master bedroom has an en-suite, with the family bathroom serving the remaining two bedrooms.
Meanwhile, the larger Cambridge offers 1,419 sq ft of accommodation including kitchen and dining room, plus a handy utility. There’s also an inviting lounge and convenient cloakroom to the ground floor, with four bedrooms including master with en-suite, plus the family bathroom on the first floor.
The largest of three show homes is the Richmond, which spans 2,012 sq ft.
The kitchen, with adjoining dining room and family room to either side, is very much at the heart of this home. This convivial space is complemented by a separate lounge, with utility and cloakroom completing the ground floor. Upstairs, two of the bedrooms enjoy the luxury of an en-suite, effectively leaving the other two bedrooms to share the family bathroom.
Current prices at Caddington Woods start from £371,950 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Letchworth.
The new homes are being built against a backdrop of acres of woodland, which Redrow will make more accessible to the public while also working with the RSPB to provide homes for nature. There will be a multi-use games area, local equipped area for play and an ornate duck pond as part of the development.
Strong road and rail links mean the area is sure to be popular with commuters. The A5, M1 and M5 are all within easy reach; while nearby Leagrave and Luton stations offer direct services to London in under an hour.
The show homes at Caddington Woods will be open daily from 10am to 5.30pm from September 10. For more information, call 01582278831 or see www.redrow.co.uk/caddington.
