Black Country buyers who do their homework will learn that new homes coming soon to Rowley Regis are in a class of their own.
Award-winning Redrow has planning permission to redevelop the former St Michael’s Business and Enterprise College site on Throne Road to create a new neighbourhood of more than 100 homes.
The first homes at the development, known as Rowley Grange, will soon be released for sale.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “It’s more than five years since the college moved into its new home on Curral Road and local people have been keen to see the land brought back into good use.
“Black Country buyers will be familiar with our Heritage Collection homes as we’ve had sell-out success at Heritage Gardens in Tipton and more recently, Chestnut Walk in Bilston. Prospective purchasers have shown a keen interest in Rowley Grange already and in response to demand we’ll soon be releasing the first properties for sale ‘off-plan’ with fully furnished show homes due to open in a couple of months’ time.”
Rowley Grange will offer 111 homes for private sale in a choice of three and four-bedroom designs.
Externally they will look very traditional, taking inspiration from the architecture of the Arts & Crafts era; while inside they will be bright and modern with a high specification as standard.
Redrow will also invest more than £680,000 towards building 12 affordable homes to meet local housing needs, including three-bedroom homes and one and two-bedroom apartments.
The company will also make Community Infrastructure Levy payment of £187,000 to help ensure the development is sustainable. The CIL will be paid to the local authority who can use it to fund a wide range of infrastructure, including transport, schools, hospitals, and other health and social care facilities.
