Skip a Step on the Property Ladder with Help to Buy in Tamworth
First time buyers in Tamworth could make a bold move into homeownership and purchase a property that gives them room to grow with Help to Buy.
Due to sales success three-bedroom homes at Redrow’s popular Pennine Grange development are now in short supply. But what would-be homeowners may not realise is that the Government-backed equity loan scheme could put a larger property within their budget.
Typically someone purchasing a property with Help to Buy should only need a relatively small deposit of around 5%. So someone with savings of circa £12,000 could secure a three-bedroom home, but they might only need an additional £4,000 to buy a larger four-bedroom property.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “We’ve sold more than a third of the homes at Pennine Grange in the first seven months and have a growing list of people who’ve made Early Bird reservations to give them first refusal on their preferred property when it’s released for sale. Demand for three-bedroom homes has been particularly high and with limited availability we’re encouraging potential purchasers to think about both their current and future housing needs.
“They may be pleasantly surprised to discover that they already have enough saved to secure a four-bedroom home with Help to Buy, giving them plenty of space for when they want to start a family.”
Three-bedroom homes at Pennine Grange are priced from £232,995 or an initial outlay of £186,396 with Help to Buy. The lower prices includes a 5% deposit of £11,650.
Four-bedroom detached properties are available in a choice of styles priced from £304,995, reducing to an initial outlay of £243,995 with Help to Buy including a deposit of £15,250.
With a choice of primary schools within walking distance, the properties at Pennine Grange are perfectly placed for buyers with children. There’s a newsagent, convenience store and post office nearby, while Tamworth town centre, home to a regular market and high street stores, is about three miles away. Those who want to indulge in some more serious retail therapy can hop on the train at Wilnecote and be in Birmingham in under 20 minutes.
