Spring onto the property ladder in a home with room to grow
Budding homeowners in Hinckley could find that they’re able to secure a home where they can put down roots and raise a family with Help to Buy.
Featuring three and four-bedroom homes, Park View in Hinckley may not seem like the obvious choice for first time buyers. But with the aid of a Help to Buy equity loan, they could skip a rung on the housing ladder and purchase a property they can grow into rather than out of.
Plus, with Westfield Infants and Junior Schools less than 10 minutes’ walk away, the homes are ideal for buyers who are planning to start a family or already have children.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), explains: “Many people already have an idea of the kind of home they’re looking for before they start their search, but we’re encouraging homebuyers to keep their options open. For example, first time buyers may think their circumstances restrict them to buying a home with two or maybe three bedrooms at a maximum. The reality is that while they think they can only afford three bedrooms, with Help to Buy they could probably purchase a four-bedroom home with plenty of room for when they start a family.”
Current prices at Park View start from £219,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Letchworth, with four-bedroom detached homes available from £254,995.
All of the properties can be purchased with the Government’s Help to Buy equity loan scheme.
For example, using Help to Buy the initial cost of a four-bedroom detached Marlow is reduced from £273,995 to £219,196. The remaining 20% is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years, with the lower price including a 5% customer deposit of £13,700.
“Because people who use Help to Buy typically only need a 5% deposit, aspiring homeowners could be pleasantly surprised to discover that they’re able to afford a larger home than they anticipated,” Pauline adds.
The Marlow is a well-proportioned home offering 1,259 sq ft of accommodation. On the ground floor there’s a generous kitchen / dining room, a spacious separate lounge, plus utility and cloakroom. Upstairs, all four bedrooms are doubles with the master bedroom benefitting from an en-suite to complement the family bathroom.
The new homes at Park View are being built close to the green spaces and sports pitches of Clarendon Park, while there are local shops on Rugby Road to cater for homeowners’ daily needs. The town centre is within walking distance, offering a wider choice of shops, plus regular markets.
The local train station is just a five minute drive or 15 minute walk away. Trains whisk passengers to Leicester in under 20 minutes, Birmingham in 35 minutes and Coventry within an hour. Even London can be reached inside 90 minutes, including driving to the station.
Show homes at Park View are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. For more information call 01455698229 or see www.redrow.co.uk/parkview.
