Having bought four new homes herself, Lynne Parr is onto a winner after moving into the housing industry and scooping a top sales title.
Lynne joined Redrow in April 2014 and worked at Oakwood Grange, Great Wyrley and then Aston Fields in Shifnal before moving to Trenchwood Gardens in Telford.
Based on her hard work, sales success and customer service, she picked up the Midlands regional award for ‘sales consultant of the year’ at Redrow’s national sales conference.
Lynne said: “I asked one of the area sales managers who’d won for our division because I didn’t have a clue. I was so shocked when my name was called out that I sat there with my mouth open!”
While modest Lyne was surprised to have won the award, there’s no disputing the impressive sales rate she achieved to earn the accolade.
“When I came to Trenchwood Gardens last March there were 44 homes left to sell and now we’re down to the last few,” Lynne added.
“A real mix of purchasers have bought here including people in their 80s and lots of first time buyers, the vast majority of whom have used Help to Buy.”
Prior to joining Redrow Lynne, who is in her 50s and lives in Albrighton, worked for Barclays and Norwich Union before taking over a family business with her husband.
“Joining Redrow was a total career change. I knew I didn’t want to work in an office and a friend suggested I’d be suited to selling homes,” Lynne explained.
“I did some training with an agency and went round different housebuilders and Redrow stood head and shoulders above the rest. You have to believe in the product you’re selling as it shows in your body language.”
She added: “We’ve bought five homes and four of them were new build, plus my son and daughter have bought houses too so I can use that experience to my advantage in helping customers. I try to give customers good service, explain things simply and guide them through the buying process.”
While Trenchwood Gardens is nearing a sell-out, Redrow has plenty to offer Shropshire buyers with developments including Aston Fields and The Uplands in Shifnal, plus The Coppice and Abode in Leegomery.
