Redrow appoints new Sales Managers amid Midlands Expansion
As Redrow’s Tamworth-based Midlands business continues to grow, with several new developments soon to launch, two new area sales managers have been appointed.
Julie Wild has been promoted to the role after 11 years as a sales consultant for Redrow, while new recruit Andy Cutler has a sales background.
They will work alongside long-serving Redrow Homes (Midlands) sales director Pauline Turnbull, area sales manager Deborah Purchase and trainee sales manager Lewis Kavanagh, in supporting the sales team across sites in Staffordshire, Shropshire, the Black Country, Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
Julie recalls: “I was a sales manager for Kurt Geiger before joining Redrow. I’d always had an interest in housing and fancied a career change so applied for a job as a full-time sales consultant.
“At that time the industry was enjoying a period of growth and buoyancy but then the market crashed and we had to work our way through some challenging times. Market conditions have improved more recently and because I’ve worked on a number of developments over the years and in different economic climates it will help me in my new role overseeing the sales teams.”
Julie is currently managing Maple Gardens in Evesham and Rowley Grange in Rowley Regis. She will also oversee new developments, The Orchards in Droitwich and Knightlow Park in Harbourne.
“I love the job and I love the company – I couldn’t work anywhere else,” she says. “It was definitely the right move for me. I love dealing with customers and get a buzz from helping them buy their home. There’s a lot of job satisfaction in new homes sales.”
Andy Cutler previously worked for Yellow Pages and British Gas. After being made redundant he was looking for a new challenge and lured by the new homes sector.
He comments: “I’ve been involved in sales for nearly 15 years however not for something you could feel and touch and certainly not for anything as prestigious as a new home. I went through the process of buying a home myself 18 months ago and it’s one of the biggest purchases you can make. Joining Redrow will bring new challenges and experiences and to be a part of the customer journey to then ultimately handing over the keys to their new home, I believe is one of the best feelings you can get from a sales perspective.”
Andy is currently overseeing sales at Pennine Grange in Tamworth and Park View in Hinckley. He will also supervise the sales teams at Amington Garden Village in Tamworth and at Wellington Place in Hadley, when they launch.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), adds: “With several new developments launching in the months ahead it’s an exciting time for the business and strengthening our team to manage that growth is very important. Andy and Julie come from different sales backgrounds, but both have the skills and the experience to support our on-site sales teams across the division.”
