Three times lucky for one-time Redrow home owner who now sells them
Good luck comes in threes as Cindy Barnes discovered when she was named Redrow sales consultant of the year.
Cindy, who lives close to Towcester, took the title for Redrow’s South Midlands division following a successful year of selling homes at Carey Fields in Moulton, Northamptonshire.
“My husband got a new job, my car was returned after being stolen and then I received the sales consultant of the year award,” Cindy says. “It’s been a really good start to the year.”
Modest about her achievement, Cindy says it was a complete surprise when her name was read out at the company’s annual sales conference.
“I couldn’t have done it without the help of a really good team including my fellow sales consultants at Carey Fields, Eve and Olga,” she adds.
“I’ve been at Carey Fields since the launch and it’s been a really successful development. Almost every home has been sold before the roof is on and most of them have been held on ‘early bird’ reservations before they’re released on to the market. To get a consistent level of commitment at an early stage, through to full reservation, exchange and completion has been a phenomenal success.
“Keeping on top of the mix of homes available and the lists of people interested in them has been the biggest challenge.”
Cindy, 54, has worked for Redrow for almost five years. She’d worked in the housing industry previously then taught for 12 years, before joining Redrow.
“I used to live in a Redrow home and the site manager at Carey Fields lives in a Redrow home too, which gives you an idea of how keen we are on the homes built. Working for Redrow I see my job more as matching people with the house types. People are so keen to live here that they’ve been prepared to move into rented accommodation while they wait for their new home to be built”
With Carey Fields nearing a sell-out and many of the remaining homes subject to early bird reservations, Cindy herself will soon be moving to pastures new, to sell Redrow homes at the forthcoming Priory Mews development in Newport Pagnell.
For the moment though she’s enjoying her remaining time at Carey Fields.
“We’ve had lots of new babies and new dogs and have lots of homes still to handover to customers,” Cindy adds.
“We have customers who work away and so haven’t been able to see the progress of their house so we have videoed it and sent to them. They were quite emotional but very pleased.”
