Garden Village Blooms in Tamworth
Award-winning Redrow secured two instant sales when it launched the first phase of the redevelopment of the former golf course site, known as Amington Fairways.
Those who’ve viewed the four show homes at the earliest opportunity have been impressed by the location quality and finish with several people signing up for ‘early bird’ reservations to give them first refusal when their preferred property is released for sale.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), says: “Amington Garden Village is a landmark scheme that will eventually comprise up to 1,100 homes. The sales launch of Amington Fairway and the opening of four show homes is a milestone for the project and has been a real success. The brick pillared entrance to the garden village really sets the scene and gives visitors a flavour of what expect from the location and the design of our homes. People tell is there’s a real wow factor from the approach to the development through to green and leafy setting to the interior styling of the show homes.”
Amington Fairway offers a choice of designs from Redrow’s Arts & Crafts influenced Heritage Collection of traditional looking homes, with current prices from £354,995 for a four-bedroom detached Shaftesbury style property.
The show homes are examples of the three-bedroom Leamington and Worcester styles, four-bedroom Henley and five-bedroom Marlborough.
“It wouldn’t be practical to have a show home in every style, but with four professionally styled and fully furnished properties open for viewing buyers can gain a real insight into the different layouts and some of the design choices available,” Pauline adds.
“We’d encourage people to create a My Redrow account on the Redrow website so that they can make appointments with the sales team, take a closer look at the floor plans and the styling options we offer.”
The first homes at Amington Fairway are scheduled to be ready to move into in late summer.
Redrow will soon be launching a second phase of homes, known as Amington Green, giving buyers even more to choose from.
Plans for Amington Garden Village pre-date the Government’s announcement earlier this year of 14 new garden villages across England and will involve much more than delivering new homes.
Along with building new homes, Redrow will invest around £14 million to help ensure the new neighbourhood is sustainable for the benefit of the wider community.
The housebuilder will contribute towards the cost of building a new primary school, create a new community woodland, extend the Hodge Lane Local Nature Reserve and fund improvements to sports facilities.
A cycling and pedestrian network will be created through the site, plus there are plans for a bus service between the development and the town centre. Redrow has also committed to invest in secondary and sixth form education and to finance highways improvements.
Show homes at the flagship development are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
