Priorslee housebuilder bats up support for cricket club
Hot off the heels of the Ashes, Redrow have donated vital funds to a local cricket club.
As part of its commitment to building thriving communities, the team at Redrow Homes Midlands, which is currently building homes at Abbey Walk in Priorslee, has donated £2,000 to Shifnal Cricket Club.
The club has been providing training sessions to locals for decades and in that time over a thousand members of the community have played in their junior and senior teams.
On learning of the fantastic benefit the club provided to the local community, we set about donating to the club so it could buy the latest up to date coaching resources and playing equipment to support their junior and senior members further.
Andrew Cutler, area sales manager for our Midlands division, said: “It’s brilliant to be involved and do our bit to support this wonderful community club. We’re very proud to be helping the club with their efforts to provide local people access to cricket and we’re looking forward to working alongside and supporting the brilliant work the club does for many years to come.”
Chris Dirkin, head coach and junior co-ordinator at Shifnal Cricket Club, commented: “We were thrilled when Redrow Homes Midlands got in touch and offered to kindly help us with this donation. Our club brings so much to the local community and it means the world that we’ve been given the chance to purchase the cutting-edge coaching resources and playing equipment with this generous donation.”
Priorslee has long been Telford’s most desirable district, and it’s easy to see why. Although it is located conveniently close to the town, with the M54 just minutes away, it also enjoys open Shropshire countryside that stretches all the way to the M6 and beyond. Add in outstanding schools and a remarkable range of leisure facilities right on your doorstep, and you have the perfect place for you and your family to set up home.
