Longton showhome inspires buyers
A new showhome in Longton is proving popular with buyers and is inspiring people to snap up the new homes.
When Redrow opened the doors to the four-bedroom Balmoral showhome at Foxlow Manor it was an instant success and helped secure three immediate sales. ‘Early bird’ reservations have been made on two further properties, which means there are now just nine homes available at the exclusive development.
Even the showhome has been reserved, but with a ‘long-stop’ completion date so that buyers can still view it to appreciate the quality, space and specification of Redrow’s brand new homes, as well as the quiet village location.
And those who visit this Saturday (January 18) will be able to discover how a Help to Buy equity loan could make owning a brand new home at Foxlow Manor easier to afford. Simultaneous events will be held across the area including at The Chase in Walmer Bridge and at Sandy Lane at Buckshaw Village.
Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), says: “We’ve had lots of positive feedback about the showhome at Foxlow Manor from all kinds of buyers, who all say they can imagine themselves living here. What they perhaps don’t realise is that Help to Buy equity loans are available and could reduce the initial cost of one of these stylish new homes by tens of thousands of pounds.
“We’re holding events across the area this Saturday to guide buyers through the scheme and would invite anyone looking for a property in Lancashire to head along to their preferred development to find out more.
“They don’t have to be first time buyers either as, unlike other Government schemes, Help to Buy can be used by those moving up the property ladder too.”
A four-bedroom detached Balmoral at Foxlow Manor, similar to the showhome, is available to buy from £425,995. Factor in a Help to Buy equity loan and the initial cost is reduced to just £340,796, including a 5% customer deposit and 75% mortgage. The loan is interest free for five years and can be repaid when the customer has more funds available or when they resell.
The showhome at Foxlow Manor was styled by interior design company Dapa who wanted to reflect that it’s an executive development in a sought-after part of Lancashire.
Rob Burton, the company’s sales director, explains: “We’ve created a look that that is both aspirational yet achievable so that visitors can really imagine themselves living here.
“A muted colour palette of gentle lilacs and greens helps emphasis the spaciousness of the property, which offers 1,807 square feet of living space.
“In the lounge there’s an eclectic mix of furniture including a parquet top coffee table, large glass fronted bookcase and leather chairs. These items appear to have been acquired over time by the homeowners and also demonstrate the grandeur of the room.”
Double doors lead from the lounge to the open plan kitchen and dining room.
The Balmoral is a home that’s very much designed with family living in mind. For example, the master bedroom and second bedroom each have an en-suite with the remaining bedrooms sharing the family bathroom.
Located on Old School Drive, Foxlow Manor enjoys an enviable setting near the heart of the village. There are good local amenities within walking distance including a Booths supermarket and other shops, plus a choice of schools; while the city of
Preston is within easy reach.
Help to Buy events are being held at several Redrow developments in and around Preston and Chorley this Saturday (January 18) from 11am to 4pm. As well as Foxlow Manor in Longton, homebuyers can discover how to make their cash go further with Help to Buy at The Chase, in Walmer Bridge and Sandy Lane, Buckshaw Village.
