Redrow launches new community fund
Redrow is soon to unveil Ledsham Garden Village in Little Sutton with the first homes in its initial phase of 170 properties due to go on sale in June and the potential for up to 2,000 homes to be built at the location.
The award-winning housebuilder is keen to engage with the local community and is on the hunt for groups in need of help in the surrounding area.
Jason Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “It is always a high priority for us at Redrow to support the communities in which we build and we are very much looking forward to engaging with organisations in and around our exciting new Ledsham Garden Village development.
“Over many years we have offered much-needed funding to hundreds of projects across a wide range of types and sizes, the length and breadth of the country. We are keen to work with community groups, sports clubs and charities and to find new ways to make a difference.
“With this in mind and with building work on our brand new homes well underway in Ledsham Garden Village, we’d like to invite the local community to suggest projects that they think we might be able to help with and we’ll endeavour to provide assistance where we can.”
Ledsham Garden Village has been hailed as “the area’s first garden village of the 21st century”. The new neighbourhood will be created on 105 hectares of land, most of which was previously agricultural fields. It will eventually become a sustainable community of up to 2,000 homes to meet strong demand in the area.
With a show village of five homes due to launch in June, the development is set to make a big impression. Pathways and a distinctive `boulevard’ will run through its heart, at one end of which is Sutton Hall. Residents and the surrounding community will also enjoy a large new park area with many other tree-lined avenues and green spaces.
Situated on the north of Ledsham Road, all Ledsham Garden Village houses will be from Redrow’s Heritage Collection, combining traditional architecture with modern and spacious interiors. Two neighbouring developments will be created initially: Oaklands, which will house some of the home builder’s smaller three and four bedroom properties and Sycamore Green which will showcase its larger premium style detached homes.
Those wishing to nominate a project for Redrow to consider should email email@example.com with contact details and a summary of the project by June 30 2016.
