Redrow launches bid to help community groups in Nantwich
AS the building of new Redrow family homes begins at Kingsbourne in Nantwich, the housebuilder is inviting local causes and community groups to apply for a slice of a £10,000 fund.
Sales for new homes at Kingsbourne, close to the town centre, will begin on Saturday, January 27th. The first phase of the development will feature 110 new three and four-bedroom homes from Redrow’s Arts and Crafts inspired Heritage Collection. Keen to build thriving communities as well as the new homes, Redrow has launched a Nantwich community fund ahead of sales.
Redrow’s NW sales director Jason Newton said: “We’ve been launching community funds across the North West alongside many of our new developments for a few years now and they’ve been a real boon to a wide variety of causes so far.
“We’ve been able to help out scout groups, primary schools, football teams, parish councils, new enterprises and individuals who require help with sports sponsorship. And that’s just a few! We’re now really excited to announce our fund for Nantwich and see what we can support in the area.
“Redrow sees it as a high priority to get involved with the communities in which we build and it’s been fantastic to see the results of what we’ve been able to fund across the region. If there are causes in the area that are in need of financial help, we would invite them to apply for a share of the £10,000 total,” Jason added.
The fund is in addition to Redrow’s already agreed 106 commitments as part of the planning process. Over the course of the development, the housebuilder will inject £2.7m into the area which will include improvements to the local primary and secondary schools and local highways, roundabouts and junctions. What’s more, a new community hub has been proposed with various shops and services.
Sales will launch at the end of January and will be followed in the spring / summer by three fully-furnished and expertly designed show homes will be open to view: the three-bedroom Ludlow, the four-bedroom Marlow and a new Redrow house type, the Leamington Lifestyle which boasts three spacious bedrooms, each with its own en suite facilities.
Those wishing to nominate a project for Redrow to consider should email firstname.lastname@example.org with contact details, a summary of the project and how it would benefit the local community by February 12, 2018.
