Woodford Garden Village celebrates its 50th resident
It marks another achievement at the development which has already welcomed many new residents to its ever growing community.
Among them are John and Loreto Wildman, who moved to Woodford Garden Village last year – from their previous Redrow home.
John says: “We moved from one Redrow home that we have lived in for 26 years into another Redrow home here. This development is amazing; we love the fact that there’s plenty of open of space and we’re impressed by the quality of the build of each home as well.”
Jason Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “Thanks to people like John and Loreto, we are delighted to have achieved the 50th completed home on this incredible development.
“There is a long way to go with such a pioneering project but it is now happily well underway – and what a wonderful time to celebrate it.”
Woodford Garden Village is one of Redrow’s most popular developments in the North West and is rapidly becoming a thriving community.
Having held a number of events to help new residents get to know one another, including a special street party that John and Loreto attended and a successful Christmas celebration, Redrow is already planning more.
Jason added: “There will be further events of that nature. At Redrow we want people to be delighted with the homes they have bought and we want them to enjoy living in them long after they’ve moved in.
“We want them to appreciate their homes but, more than that, to enjoy being part of a caring community - surrounded by neighbours who will become their friends.
“That’s the ‘better way’ of living that Redrow is keen to foster and encourage; places where people matter.”
Woodford Garden Village will eventually be home to around 950 properties as well as a host of amenities and facilities including a £3.5 million primary school and wide areas of open space.
There are currently three, four and five-bedroom homes available from £456,495. All properties are from Redrow’s Heritage Collection which combines traditional craftsmanship exteriors with modern, open-plan interiors.
The homes are being created on the former aerodrome site in Woodford, close to the larger towns and villages of Handforth, Bramhall and Poynton, and five miles from Stockport, as well as being near to road and rail links to Manchester city centre and the rest of the North West.
Seven show homes, including the Balmoral that has recently won Best Show Home for 2017 at the North West Property Awards, are open to view daily at the development on Chester Road, Tuesday to Sunday 10am until 5.30pm and on Mondays 12pm until 5.30pm.
