First time buyers can put saved deposits to good use at The Pastures in Backford Cross, West Cheshire.
One of the few positives to come out the Covid lockdown has been the fact it is easier to save money towards a new home with big nights out and foreign holidays mostly off the agenda. Couple this with availability of Help to Buy and first-time buyers could be in a win-win situation.
And if having enough for a house deposit has come that little bit sooner than expected then Redrow’s The Pastures should be the first place you look for your new home.
With selected homes ready to move into before March 2021, we are giving buyers the chance to start the new year off in the best way possible, as they will benefit from the Stamp Duty holiday as well as being able to make use of the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme.
Chris Edwards, interim area sales manager for our North West division says: “A house deposit is probably the biggest thing we ever have to save up for, but Help to Buy means 5% may be sufficient which is a huge help for first time buyers. We’ve had lots of potential customers tell us that saving for a deposit has actually been easier during lockdown and, of course, being forced to spend more time at home it’s become increasingly important to have the home we all really want.
“The Stamp Duty holiday is another incentive that has been put in place to give buyers a helping hand into their new home and could save customers over £7000* on a home costing £340,995. That’s money that could go towards furnishing a new home.”
Help to Buy in its current format runs out early next year. For now, it can be used on homes up to £600,000 and is available to those sold subject to contract as well as first time buyers. From March 2021 it will be restricted to first time buyers only and regional price caps will be introduced.
Purchasers benefit from a 20% equity loan that’s interest free for five years, so a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage from a lender of choice is sufficient to own a home.
Prices at The Pastures start from £283,995 for the four-bedroom detached Shrewsbury.
Family sized homes such as our four-bedroom detached Canterbury which has an expansive kitchen and dining area plus a separate lounge and a dedicated study, which makes it ideal for anyone working from home for extended periods. This home starts from £371,995.
Located in Backford Cross, only five miles from Chester and close to Cheshire Oaks, The Pastures has the best of everything on its doorstep. It also enjoys a semi-rural location close to countryside, while being within easy reach of the motorway network and Capenhurst train station for travel further afield.
