Award-winning house builder Redrow has confirmed that it will be contributing more than £1.4million to the Bedfordshire community.
Our South Midlands division, which recently acquired Lucas Gardens; a 10.45-acre site in Shefford; has confirmed that it will be contributing more than £1.4million towards healthcare, education, libraries and the development of both indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
The contribution will include an education contribution in the region of £1.1million, as well as a healthcare contribution of more than £95,000 and nearly £19,000 towards local libraries.
Furthermore, the local community is set to benefit from approximately £80,000 towards indoor sport facilities, in addition to a further contribution of more than £32,000 that will go towards developing facilities for outdoor sport.
As part of our South Midlands divisions’ commitment to creating thriving communities, Lucas Gardens will also accommodate space for the potential development of either a new primary school or community woodland has also been allocated within plans.
The development will feature 90 new one, two, three and four-bedroom family homes, including 32 affordable homes, with building on track to commence in spring 2020.
