Redrow South East's MD on new regional role
Redrow has promoted Chris Lilley to Regional Chief Executive at Redrow, from his position of Managing Director of the South East region.
Chris’s promotion means that he will now oversee three divisions including South East, Southern Counties and Eastern – an area with more than 31 active outlets across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. He will continue to be based at the South East office in Chatham, and will report into the Executive Board.
Under Chris’s management our South East division has expanded rapidly in the last three years and it boasts a number of key developments, including Ebbsfleet Green a flagship development of 900 new homes, a primary school, community hall, sports facilities, open space and allotments, a pub and hotel. The new community is part of Ebbsfleet Garden City, the first garden city in over one hundred years.
Chris said: “Since joining Redrow in 2015 I have focused, with the support of our fantastic staff, on growing our South East division. It has been a great challenge and one that has seen us deliver hundreds of homes, create new jobs and make substantial contributions to the local community. Redrow was established in the North Wales area and it is great to see the growth and recognition we have already achieved in this part of the country extend southwards. In my new role I will be working closely with each divisional management team and the Executive Board to ensure we continue to develop Redrow’s presence in the south and achieve further growth across these counties.”
The move comes after the promotion of previous Regional Chief Executive, Matthew Pratt, to Chief Operating Officer. Whilst Chris’s promotion sees Ben Fewsdale step up from Construction Director to Regional Director at Redrow South East. Ben joined us three years ago following 10 years at Taylor Wimpey where he progressed from assistant site manager to production director.
John Tutte, Chief Executive at Redrow, commented: “Chris has done a great job growing our South East business into one of the most successful divisions in the Group. He has built a strong team and his promotion is well-deserved. He will be an excellent addition to the Executive Board and is well equipped to meet the challenge of managing and strengthening the business across the south of England.”
Chris has nearly 20 years’ experience in management within the construction and house building industry, starting as a management trainee at Bryant Homes in 1989.
