Redrow’s leading South East division has won five Pride in the Job Quality awards from the National House Building Council (NHBC) for a second year. The NHBC celebrates the hard work and commitment of site managers across the country, celebrating the exceptional contribution each one makes to delivering high quality new homes.
Our award-winners in the region include Nick Smith at Ebbsfleet Green, Ian Day at The Hoplands, Prageeth Harishchandra at Vicarage Fields, Paul Hughes at Wentworth Park and Scott Woodhams at Woodlands Green.
Nick Smith, Project Site Manager at our flagship Ebbsfleet Green development has won a Pride in the Job Quality award for the second year in a row. Nick begun his career in construction at the age of 16 when he enrolled in college and secured a National Diploma in Construction. Joining us in 2009 as an assistant site manager he has risen through the ranks and now focuses on delivering 900-home community in Ebbsfleet Garden City.
The winners of the prestigious industry award are selected from a pool of 16,000 site managers across the UK. The 12-month selection and judging process identifies site managers who demonstrate skills such as leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail.
Ben Fewsdale, managing director at our South East division commented, “I am absolutely delighted that we received five NHBC Pride in the Job Quality awards. This latest achievement from our team shows their commitment to delivering quality new homes for our customers. While special congratulations go to each winner, it is testament to the successful collaboration between our onsite team, office-based colleagues, and subcontractors. I wish all the winners the best of luck in the next round.”
Nick Smith, senior project manager at Ebbsfleet Green commented, “Winning a Pride in the Job Quality award is an acknowledgement that what me and the team do day to day is noticed and rewarded as being an industry best. From the small details to the big picture, it is all vital in creating customers’ homes and new communities. Ebbsfleet Green is a huge site providing new homes alongside community facilities such as shops, sports facilities, and a new school, it is fantastic to be a key part in its creation”
Paul Hughes, project site manager at Wentworth Park commented, “Winning a Pride in the Job Quality award for the second consecutive year is a fantastic endorsement of the hard work the site team and subcontractors put in every day. I see this award as recognition of the team’s commitment to deliver a high-quality new community in Herne Bay and I’m very proud of our achievement.”
Prageeth Harischandra, site manager at Vicarage Fields commented, “Receiving recognition by winning a Pride in the Job Quality award from the NHBC means a lot to me. It is the first site I am managing, and it reinforces the high standard everyone on site performs to. It motivates me to keep on delivering new homes for our customers and making sure their experience with Redrow is the best it can be.”
Following the announcement of the first-round winners, all successful site managers go on to compete for a Seal of Excellence and a Regional Award in their respective categories.
