Redrow Homes lays foundations for budding architect

Morgan’s mother, Vicky Samuel, said: “Morgan has an eye for detail and has to have everything perfect. As soon as we said we will be buying the Canterbury he decided to make a few of the Redrow homes.
“The first house Morgan built was a Letchworth. As soon as it was finished he wanted to take it to Redrow to show Amanda Canning, our Sales Consultant, who was really impressed with it. He is very clever at building things with Lego and enjoys nothing more than constructing various different things; we believe he will become an architect or designer when he is older.”
Morgan said: “I love building with Lego, my favourite things to make are planes and houses. When I saw the Redrow houses I thought they looked nice and I wanted to try making them with my Lego. So far I’ve made the Letchworth and the Canterbury and I would like to make another one, either the Warwick or the Cambridge.”
Morgan’s Lego Redrow Homes have been on display in the Sales Office and have attracted a lot of attention for their incredible accuracy. As a thank you to Morgan, Redrow Sales Negotiator Amanda and Area Sales Manager Kate Lacey arranged for him to be presented with a Lego City set.
“I would like to say a big thank you to Amanda and Kate for buying me the Lego City” said Morgan. “I had such fun building it, my favourite part is the train.”
The Samuel’s new home will be their second with Redrow, having purchased their first home at Cwm Calon in 2007.
Vickie said: “We loved the idea of having a new build home, but at the time we weren’t sure if we could afford one. We went to see some new builds in our area, but didn’t feel we would get enough house for our money until we visited Cwm Calon. Amanda Canning actually sold us that house as well, she really looked after us and we loved our Redrow Home.
“Later on we moved to Caerphilly into another new build home from a different housebuilder, but in 2015 we went to see the new Redrow showhome at Manor View and we couldn’t believe the quality compared to our house. We decided there and then that we had to move back to a Redrow home.”
The Samuels were delighted to find that Amanda Canning was working on the development in Manor View, and she recognised them the moment they walked through the door.
“It was a lovely surprise to see Amanda working on the development” said Vickie. “Amanda is a lovely lady and has done her utmost to get us our dream home. She always has time for us, and she’s even introduced us to some of our new neighbours when we have been in the Sales Office at the same time. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and we feel we have made a friend through dealing with her.”
The family are now looking forward to moving into their new Canterbury home in time for Christmas.
Vickie said: “We chose the Canterbury home because of the lovely open plan kitchen/dining room and spacious living room, perfect for spending time together as a family. I’m really looking forward to having a nice big kitchen to prepare family meals and hold dinner parties and my husband Matthew is looking forward to the double garage – it’s going to be his ‘man cave’!”
And what is Morgan looking forward to most? “Having a new big bedroom with a double bed and TV, and seeing inside the double garage!”
Kate Lacey, Area Sales Manager for Redrow Homes South Wales, said: “This has been a very popular development and we are delighted that Morgan and his family are so excited about their new Redrow Home; it was a pleasure to present him with the Lego. We are almost sold out at Manor View, but we have recently launched a new phase of Heritage homes nearby at Cwm Calon, and will be opening our beautiful new showhome before Christmas.”
