Success for Redrow at Wales Business Insider Property Awards 2016
The award for Housebuilder of the Year is new to the Insider Property Awards and winning in the inaugural year further establishes Redrow as a housebuilder with a proud history of success. Redrow went up against Cardiff-based property builder and developer, Portabella, to snatch the award, with other awards going to Rightacres, Cushman & Wakefield and Watkin Jones.
The Wales Business Insider Property Awards is an annual event and was hosted this year at Cardiff City Hall after high demand for tables in 2015. This year saw the introduction of two new categories, Housebuilder of the Year and Residential Development, reflecting the rapidly improving fortunes of Wales’ housebuilding industry.
The Insider Property Awards are dedicated to recognising the ever increasing high standards in construction and development and the judges – Richard Anning, Rob Smith and Phil Cooper – and Douglas Friedli, editor of the Wales Business Insider, expressed how impressed they were with the calibre of candidates this year.
With over 6,000 visitors passing through their doors, Redrow have enjoyed huge success in South Wales during the last year. As well as continuing success on their existing developments, Redrow have gained planning permission for further sites including Churchlands near Lisvane which will bring over 1000 much needed new homes to Cardiff.
