Thomas and Sophia first set eyes on their dream home last November after booking an appointment online to view the De Clare Gardens show homes on, fittingly, the first day they opened.
“We knew the location was perfect for us and so had been waiting to come and view the showhomes,” explained Thomas, who works as a dental technician in Newport, while Sophia is a production planner at GE Aviation in nearby Nantgarw.
They have bought a Lime, from our Inspired Homes collection, a double-fronted detached home with spacious living areas and three generous double bedrooms, including a large en-suite main bedroom with a dressing area.

“De Clare Gardens is right in the middle of where we were living – me in Pontypridd and Sophia in Caerphilly – and so is also really near both our families. Plus, the road connections are really good for each of us to get to work easily.
“The house was just what we had hoped for, and so we reserved that day.”
Wales’ national lockdown followed not long afterwards and so Thomas and Sophia selected their personal finishing touches to their home online via the My Redrow customer portal.
“Everything went really smoothly thanks to the Redrow team and the technology: we chose our kitchen, tiles and floors online and we’re thrilled with the finish to our new home,” said Thomas.
