End of an Era as Final Homes Released at Devonport's £70 million Vision scheme
After ten years in the making, the final set of homes have been released at one of the city’s key regeneration schemes, Redrow’s award winning Vision development in Devonport. Since opening in 2007 Vision has made quite an impact on the city, turning what was dilapidated Ministry of Defence land into a thriving new city centre community.
The exciting last release of the 1 & 2 bed apartments at Vision marks the final steps in the £70m redevelopment of the area. Vision is now a fully-fledged community, complete with 464 homes, 6 commercial units and an International Property Award to its name! The area boasts a new library showcasing an important naval heritage collection, the historic Devonport Park with tennis courts, cycle routes and bowling greens and the incoming Market Hall project that will bring the 17th century building right up to the 21st century as a world-class digital hub.
As well as providing much needed high-quality homes, Redrow has also invested in the city of Plymouth. By providing vital infrastructure for the area including the Market Hall, creating many jobs and business opportunities in so many industries, donating to local charities and participating in key aspects of Plymouth’s life. This is all in addition to the £3.7million invested by Redrow in education, transport and roads as part of the Section 106 agreement with Plymouth City Council.
Andrew Addison, Sales Director at Redrow (West Country) said: “We are so proud of what’s been achieved at Vision. As part of the regeneration project, our focus was to build much needed, high quality homes for the local people of Plymouth, and create a great community for the future. It is great to look back and see how far we have come and what a success the project has been!”
He added, “One and two bedroom apartments are in high demand in Plymouth at the moment, so we are thrilled to be responding to the community’s housing needs in our final set of apartments. With everything the area has to offer, it’s unsurprising that it is a popular place for young professionals and couples, retirees, growing families and investors too.”
Prices at Vision currently start at £99,995 for a one bedroom apartment.
Vision offers a stylish collection of one and two bedroom apartments situated alongside two, three and four bedroom houses – all built to Redrow’s high standard and specification. Located on Park Avenue in Devonport, Vision is ideally placed for excellent road links, regular bus services and close proximity to Plymouth Railway Station, providing the perfect place to set up a new home.
