We’re sponsoring Stonehouse Town FC for the fourth year in a row. The club is situated close to our Great Oldbury development, in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.
The continued sponsorship is part of our ongoing commitment to support local initiatives in areas where we build our houses.
Since its inception in 1898, the club has worked hard to welcome players of all levels and ages, while priding itself as an inclusive and welcoming local football team.
Stonehouse Town FC manages multiple teams, from veterans and adults to its ever-expanding youth section. The club is run by committed volunteers who devote their free time to progress the teams and enhance the football club’s facilities further.
Our sponsorship of Stonehouse Town FC began in the 2018/19 season, which included sponsorship of the Mike ‘Spike’ Smith stand.
Over the past four years, we’ve maintained our yearly sponsorship of Stonehouse Town FC by renewing support for the 13-meter banner behind one of the two goals at the clubs’ home ground, ‘The Magpies Stadium’.
This year the sponsorship has been used to extend the spectator standing areas, offering more opportunities for supporters to safely access viewing areas in a different part of the ground.
When asked about the sponsorship that the club have received this year, commercial manager Tim Williams said; “The sponsorship has enabled the club to continue to provide access to football for people of all ages, sex, and abilities. Redrow’s continued sponsorship allows us to unlock infrastructure projects, such as installing floodlights and building new spectator pathways and viewing areas, which we otherwise couldn’t afford to do.
“On behalf of everyone here, I would like to extend my thanks and gratitude to all at Redrow for their continued support of STFC. The investments will last for future generations and make a real difference to everyone who visits us. This support allows us to continue to progress on and off the field of play and it makes a real difference to everyone who visits us. We hope this mutually beneficial partnership continues for many years to come.”

The nearby Great Oldbury development opened in 2018 and is situated at the edge of the Cotswolds. It benefits from excellent connections to Gloucester, Bristol and Swindon, and the site is soon to have its own local primary school, health centre, local shops and a sports facility.
