Our Southern Counties division has appointed Andrew Smith as Strategic Land Director, a newly created role to drive our long term growth ambitions across southern England.
Andrew joins us following 18 years’ experience in land development, most recently as owner of Narvo Asset Management, an independent consultancy he founded in 2014. Prior to that, Andrew spent eight years at Welbeck Land and three years at what was Taylor Woodrow.
Andrew’s role here will complement the work of the well-established land team. Building on his specialist experience in bringing forward complex and large sites, Andrew’s focus will be leading our long-term growth plans and identifying new opportunities.

Our Southern Counties division is focused on delivering aspirational family homes from our award-winning Heritage Collection and typically targets rural and suburban locations. The Heritage product is ideally suited to current lifestyle priorities and consumer desire for increased homeworking and space, both indoors and outdoors.
The division currently has 15 active or forthcoming schemes, including the high-profile redevelopment of Ford Airfield. We’ve been working with Wates Developments since 2013 to bring forward proposals for the high-profile 900-acre site, which will see 1,500 new homes, acres of green space and community hub. It represents the largest residential scheme to secure allocation within a Neighbourhood Plan.
