Langley Grange in West Yorkshire is the perfect new home for Linda Frewin
Yoga enthusiast Linda Frewin is saying ‘namaste’ – the traditional yogi greeting – to a new home in a familiar place.
Keen to be closer to her grandchildren, Linda has moved the 20 or so miles from Pontefract, to Redrow’s Langley Grange in Scissett, West Yorkshire.
Originally from the area, Linda decided to return so she could be within easier reach of her family.
Linda says choosing her new-build Redrow home was easy. The four-bedroom Oxford has everything a traditional house offers and she loved the large bay windows, deep skirting boards and high ceilings. But it was the modern open-plan kitchen that sold it for Linda. A keen fan of cooking and healthy eating, Linda knew her next home had to have the space she needed to continue expanding on her cooking skills.
Linda said: “After I moved in, the sales team on site regularly came to check on me and see how I was settling in. More often than not, when they came, I was cooking up something fresh in the kitchen so they have actually sampled a lot of my food. A few of my specialities are fish and vegetarian dishes.”
Healthy living is definitely a way of life that Linda enjoys- she has also taught yoga part time for just over 20 years and would love to set up a class close to her new home.
“I first went to yoga in the late 90s when it wasn’t as popular as it is now. I went more for the spiritual side rather than the physical side but then I realised I was quite flexible and my teacher encouraged me to explore teaching. I was new to the area too so it was a really great way for me to socialise and meet likeminded people,” she explained.
Linda also loves her new bedroom with en-suite, plus three spare rooms that mean there’s plenty of space for when family come and stay – and plenty of room to practice her all-important yoga.
“All the bedrooms are really generously sized, even the smallest bedroom gives me lots of space. My two grandsons, aged nine and one, plus my two-month-old granddaughter, will definitely have plenty of scope to explore and lots of room for their toys,” Linda added.
The Langley Grange development, where Linda has chosen her new home, features a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, with current prices from £204,950 for a three-bedroom Ledbury terrace to £414,950 for a four-bedroom detached Sunningdale with two en-suites and an integral double garage. More Oxfords, like Linda’s, are coming soon.
The development is handy for Huddersfield, Barnsley and Wakefield, as well as being only a 20 minute drive from the beauty of the Peak District National Park.
