Wakefield buyers can get more for their money

And while Leeds might seem like the obvious choice in West Yorkshire, neighbouring Wakefield is now giving it a run for its money, according to estate agent Richard Parker.

“It’s a combination of price and location that is making Wakefield an attractive option to many buyers,” he says. “You have the benefit of its great motorway connections, with the M1 and M62 right on your doorstep whichever way you go.

“And the prices are lower in Wakefield compared with Leeds - in general the price difference is around 10%.”
