Redrow Open House
Our newly-launched Blaise Park development in rural Oxfordshire was the perfect place to open our doors to an invited audience of customers, bloggers and social media influencers. Redrow’s Head of Interior Design, Emma Brindley, used the special Open House event to elaborate on ways that Redrow achieves its ‘ultimate show home’ look; from attending design shows in Paris, Milan and London for inspiration to being influenced by nature for some of the earthy tones displayed in our show homes.
Colour Trends for 2019
Black is huge this year and is a great colour choice for accessories and furniture. It’s got that gorgeous classical feel and you can also go ultra-contemporary with a more Scandi-look. The contrast of matt black furniture with brass and gold finishes works exceptionally well. Spiced honey is the Dulux colour of the year for 2019 and you can easily replicate its warm, earthy tone in wallpaper, soft furnishings and accessories. Adding greenery is an easy way to introduce colour, bringing the outside in – and it’s a trend that can be instantly refreshed as the seasons change.
Texture Trends for 2019
Texture and surface patterns are huge and you can have fun combining them in furniture and accessories. Natural woven fabrics are enjoying a resurgence and can be found in lighting, furniture and accessories. Naturally soothing materials such as pale woods, cool-touch stone, tactile clay and plaster-like finishes are perfectly in tune with the trend for designs that tap into emotions and help you feel calm.
