Making the most of your garage
While a garage may not have been the primary reason for choosing your new home, it’s undoubtedly a nice perk to have. Whether or not it was a crucial requirement on your checklist when searching for a Redrow home, the utility of having a garage cannot be overlooked.
Lift the modern garage door and you'll discover a spacious area ideal for storing your vehicle. What’s more, the garage is fully illuminated and connected to the mains power supply.
So, here’s how to make the most of the garage in your new Redrow home. You can also check out our video guide.
For integral garages within Redrow homes, electrical supply and lighting are provided as standard features.
Detached garages will have a light and double socket if you opted for this upgrade when purchasing your Redrow home. If you didn't choose this upgrade, you can of course think about installing it at a later date - we strongly recommend hiring a qualified electrician for the installation process.
Redrow garages are specifically designed for vehicle storage, providing added security and helping to keep your car clean.
Additionally, they offer the convenience of extra space in front of your home. However, it's important to note that our garages are not intended to be habitable or watertight areas. Therefore, we do not recommend using the garage to store items that might be subject to damage or deterioration in cold and damp conditions.
To maintain a clutter-free and organised space, it's best to keep your garage clear and avoid overloading it. This not only contributes to your peace of mind but also ensures the safety of your belongings. It's worth mentioning that the overhead beams and trusses in our garages are not designed to support heavy items. Therefore, we advise homeowners not to store items on the beams, as they are not suitable for that purpose.
