With 2,030 square feet of prime living space, The Richmond offers a fantastic quality of life that exceeds the very highest standards. The open plan kitchen with adjoining dining and family areas to the back of the property is very much the heart of the home, while the separate lounge is perfect for quieter moments. Its master bedroom enjoys the height of luxury, with both an en-suite and dressing room. The three other bedrooms are all generously sized and decorated in the most elegant, contemporary style.
Our Marleberg Grange Richmond show home has been styled for a family with two teenage children and reflects their lifestyles. The downstairs open plan rooms present a social hub where the family can spend time together. Central to this area is the kitchen, where we’ve paired a Symphony Cranbrook Stone kitchen with a silestone worktop in Nymbus and used Oxford Castano floortiles from Porcelanosa throughout the kitchen and dining area.
The central island provides the perfect place for a quick snack or for friends or family to perch while someone cooks. We use trade suppliers for all our furniture but you can find similar Oliver Oak stools with tweed fabric online.
In the dining area, we’ve used a dark oak dining table with pebble grey fabric chairs. A similar Bentley Designs Turin table and a variety of chairs are available from different retailers. We’ve added a painted sideboard to complement the kitchen cabinets. You can ‘build your own’ and choose your preferred paint finish using a range of modular furniture from The Dormy House. An over-size plant brings a little bit of the outside in – and don’t forget, they’re proven to improve air quality and boost general health and well-being.
The third element of this part of the house is the family area overlooking the back garden. It’s an informal and comfortable place to relax, inspired by a beautiful Dulux Heritage dusted heather feature wall. Tartan cushions pick out similar tones against the cream sofas, and two floating shelves provide the perfect resting place for a casual selection of family portraits.
The separate lounge is a more grown-up, formal affair but displays the same neutral backdrop with subtle splashes of colour. The wenge wood and chrome sideboard and console table add a touch of elegance and the ceiling hung curtains accentuate the extra ceiling height and taller windows in a Redrow home. The Romo Renzo feature wallpaper has a lovely textured appearance, while the pale nutmeg paint on the remaining walls and the Cormar Sensation deep pile carpet in mother of pearl help pull the whole scheme together.
The Richmond’s principal bedroom boasts both a dressing room and en-suite. A neutral backdrop creates a gentle, relaxing ambiance, with the dark brown throw, leading edge to the curtains, cushions and headboard piping adding depth and contrast. The Monteray smoked oak free-standing furniture has been chosen to coordinate with the Gooding Group wardrobes. Statement lighting, including a beautiful pair of table lamps adds the perfect finishing touch. If you’re searching for something special, Endon and Dar are both great choices for lighting.
For the main en-suite we chose dover caliza wall and floor tiles from Porcelanosa and added Roper Rhodes twin vanity units in Alpine Elm. The overall impression is one of a boutique hotel style bathroom.
Among the remaining bedrooms we love this Dulux Heritage lavender grey feature paint; and decorative wall letters are a great way to personalise a child or teenager’s bedroom with a touch of style.
