10 Reasons to buy at Newton Garden Village, Nottingham

15th September 2021
Redrow - Developments - Newton Garden Village - Street Scene

Based on sustainable principles to help create thriving new communities, our Garden Villages are the perfect places to call home. The East Midlands division’s first, Newton Garden Village in Nottinghamshire, offers a variety of two, three four and five-bedroom homes, and here’s ten reasons why one of them should be yours…

Reason one: A whole new neighbourhood is being created

This new development will offer more than just new homes, with a focus on building a strong community at its heart. As the development takes shape, so will the creation of several new public facilities, including sports pitches, allotments and a purpose-built community hall, to provide a home to new and exisiting sports and community organisations.

Reason two: You’ll be closer to nature

Newton Garden Village has been designed to feature plenty of green open space, bringing a traditional village feel to local people. Not only that, specific areas have been created to ensure the habitat of local wildlife is preserved, which also offers residents easy access to enjoyable woodland walks and the calming sound of birdsong.

Reason three: The properties are beautiful and spacious

We’re known for luxury craftsmanship and attention to detail, complete with its high ceilings, traditional exteriors and all of the amenities needed for modern life. Homes at the development are designed with practicality and space in mind, with open-plan areas for socialising, as well as private rooms that make for the perfect home office or relaxing retreat.

Reason four: You’ll have easy access to local towns and cities

The development is just a stone’s throw away from the market town of Bingham, which will be accessed via a brand-new bridge being built over the A46, and is located less than eight miles from the centre of Nottingham.

Bingham Train Station can be reached in under ten minutes, offering public transport across the region, and East Midlands Airport is less than 45 minutes away for those travelling further afield.

Reason five: It’s built on sustainable principles

Newton Garden Village is built on the former RAF Newton base, which means that the land is a brownfield site. The development has transformed the area, improving the local environment while also reducing the need to build new homes on local green spaces.

As part of part bio-diversity strategy, routes and shelters for wildlife such as hedgehogs and barn owls have also been introduced, to ensure they can move freely through the development during the night. This means hedgehog highways are created in fences, and roads, foot and cycle paths around the development are designed so as not to interrupt the wildlife.

Reason six: Ultra-fast broadband comes as standard

A necessity for those working from home, fibre direct broadband comes as standard, meaning Newton Garden Village has the quickest broadband available in the area. This means no more frozen Zoom call’s or buffering Netflix movies.

Reason seven: There are lots of good schools nearby

There are also a number of Ofsted rated ‘Good’ primary and secondary schools all within easy reach, including Bingham Robert Miles Infant School, St Peters Primary School and South Nottinghamshire Academy.

Reason eight: There’s plenty of places to shop

There is an Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons and Asda, all within a 20-minute drive, making the weekly shop a breeze. Victoria Retail Park is a short drive away, and for those looking for some more serious retail therapy, Nottingham’s city centre has all you can wish for.

Reason nine: There’s plenty to do nearby with (or without!) the kids

There’s crazy golf, high ropes and a trampoline park, all under an hour’s drive, making the weekends and summer holidays a walk in the park for families.

For the adults, Radcliffe on Trent Golf Club is six miles down the road, as are Nottingham Racecourse and the National Water Sports Centre. Bingham has plenty of restaurants, and you can always head into the city centre for a night on the town.

Reason ten: Redrow can help you to sell your existing property

Our Help to Sell scheme takes the stress out of selling your existing property, leaving you to focus on the packing. We will take care of the entire process, from valuations to marketing your property, even helping out with a contribution towards your estate agent fees.
