Leicestershire hospice praises Redrow for kind donation

28th September 2021
Redrow - News - East Midlands - Rainbows Childrens Hospital Donation

Our East Midlands division, which is currently building new homes at Chantry Mews, on Tay Road, has presented The Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People with the donation as part of its community fund.

We’re committed to creating and supporting thriving communities, and these funds will be used to help the charity in providing vital care to families and children impacted by life-limiting conditions. The support means they can provide end of life care, symptom management, short breaks and respite care. They are also there to support parents and siblings through bereavements.

Emily Wright, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser of The Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, said: “We are really thankful for Redrow's donation because, as the only hospice for children and young people in the East Midlands, it is crucial that we receive funds in order to continue to provide care to families struggling with life-limiting illnesses.

“Our team are there for families when they need us the most, but we couldn’t do our work without the kindness of local businesses and individuals, such as Redrow East Midlands, and this really will make a difference to the lives of those in need.”

Ryan O’Sullivan, Sales Director for the East Midlands, added: “We are delighted to be supporting The Rainbows Hospice.

“I'd like to express my appreciation to everyone at the hospice for all their hard work. For many, it’s been a very difficult 18 months, and those for those living with life-limiting illnesses, the challenges have been even greater. We hope that by supporting such an important community service, we can make things a little bit easier and we look forward to continuing to build upon our relationship with the hospice in the future.”

The donation forms part of our Community Fund, which will see the division donate a total of £5,000 to local organisations throughout 2021.

We’re currently building homes across Leicestershire including two, three and four-bedroom homes at Chantry Mews, New Lubbesthorpe.
