Our East Midlands team, currently building new homes at Redrow at Nicker Hill, have presented Keyworth & District Community Concern with a £500 donation as part of our community fund.
Established in 1974, Keyworth and District Community Concern provides a weekly Day Centre run by volunteers, and supports local residents and community groups within the parish of Keyworth particularly where there are mobility challenges. The charity provides bus transport and assisted shopping services for those in need in the village and surrounding areas, ensuring residents can continue to visit their favourite beauty spots and meet their shopping requirements.
Our donation will go towards providing a new bus, fitted out with modern facilities to assist passengers, including tail-lifts for improved wheelchair access.
Andrew Tuckwell, Chairman of Keyworth and District Community Concern, said: “We are delighted to receive this kind donation from Redrow. Our bus programme offers a vital service for those requiring additional assistance within our community, and ensures they can get around as independently as possible.
