- Great Wilsey Park will eventually offer 2,500 new homes
- Phase one, The Parklands, consists of 899 homes from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection
- Homes in the first release start at £393,995 and will be available to reserve off-plan from 26th September

On Saturday 26th September, Redrow Eastern will launch the first homes at its latest scheme, Great Wilsey Park. The first phase, The Parklands, will provide three- and four-bedroom homes from our award-winning Heritage Collection.

The Parklands at Great Wilsey Park is located in the picturesque market town of Haverhill, Suffolk. The homes will sit amongst miles of idyllic, open Suffolk countryside, and are just a few minutes from the lively local market and outstanding schools in Haverhill. Alongside new homes there will be extensive open space including a country park running through the centre of the scheme. The nature-rich country park will feature wetlands, footpaths, cycle routes and play spaces. As part of the landscaping strategy, and in line with our wider initiative to promote biodiversity across their sites, species rich flowers, hedgerows and new trees will be delivered across the new community. New homeowners will also have access to allotments.

The wider scheme is also delivering vital community facilities, including two brand new primary schools, one two-form entry and one one-form entry, catering to local residents by providing education within walking distance. The Parklands at Great Wilsey Park is within walking distance of existing schools too, including Westfield Primary Academy and Coupals Primary Academy, both rated ‘good’ by Ofsted, and Samuel Ward Academy, a secondary school, is rated ‘outstanding’.

A new community hub is being created too, providing new and existing residents with a health centre, office units and a care home, alongside local shops. When asked about their home buying preferences post-lockdown, a third of buyers would prioritise proximity to local shops when purchasing a new home.

Our new homes at The Parklands at Great Wilsey Park combine architecture inspired by the 1930s Arts and Crafts movement with spacious, modern interiors, and are finished to the highest standard. For those wanting to work from home, the generous spaces within our Heritage Collection homes are ideal for creating home offices. The housebuilder’s MyRedrow customer platform gives buyers the opportunity to personalise their home when buying off-plan, from adding fitted wardrobes to customising tile colours, kitchen styles, and even the option to add on a conservatory.

Kerry McCoubrey, sales director at our Eastern division, commented: “We are thrilled to be launching The Parklands, a fantastic family development in an ideal location for those looking for an idyllic country home. We are committed to developing sustainable new schemes that seamlessly connect and contribute to the existing community, which is why we will be delivering a wide range of onsite amenities, including schools and green open spaces. We are pleased to announce that we have already had almost 900 people register their interest, and look forward to watching Great Wilsey Park transform into an incredible, 2,500 home community.”

Great Wilsey Park offers excellent transport links, as Great Chesterford Station, just a short car journey away, takes commuters into London Liverpool Street in just over an hour. Those wanting a staycation can find nearby Centre Parcs at Elveden, which is just a 45-minute drive away. A scenic day out is also not far from Great Wilsey Park, as Haverhill lies less than 15 miles away from Cambridge.

To make the process as convenient as possible, our Help to Sell scheme is open to all buyers wishing to purchase a home with us. With Help to Sell, buyers leaving an old home behind need not worry as we will arrange up to three appraisals of the former property while contributing to estate agent fees, to make the process run as smoothly as possible. our Help to Sell scheme is available to all buyers, no matter where they lie on the property ladder, and at no extra cost.
