We’ve donated £500 to Essex Comets YFC, enabling the club to purchase new training equipment including a substitutes bench, pop up football goals and footballs for their under 12’s teams.
The donation was provided just in time for the 2021/2022 playing season, helping to boost spirits and encourage outdoor sports after what has been a turbulent time for many following the Covid-19 lockdowns.
Established in 2007, Essex Comets YFC is run by members of the local community. They are a large youth football club, with 15 groups spanning from U5s all the way up to U17s. Having enjoyed a successful season, achieving a third-place finish in their division and winning the division’s cup competition, the club is keen to take on new joiners for the season ahead. This year will also see the Comets unveil their new red and white away kit which will feature us as a sponsor.
Billy Porter, Head of under 12’s at Essex Comets YFC, commented: “This season has been phenomenal, I am extremely proud of what the boys and the staff have achieved despite the difficult circumstances. We were delighted to have received a donation from Redrow earlier on in the season which has been and continues to be of great assistance to us.”
