We’ve donated £750 to St. Peter’s School, sponsoring a marquee for their Year 6 leavers event to ensure it could go ahead as planned outside.
In support of the outgoing cohort of children, we visited the local primary school in Brentwood, Essex to present the cheque at the event that took place on the 21st of July.
Provision of an outdoor marquee was crucial for the event to be planned in advance and take place, given the increased Covid-19 social distancing requirements, and changing guidance in the run up to the summer, especially surrounding schools.
Mr Gunn, Headteacher at St. Peter’s School, commented: “On behalf of the St Peter’s Year 6 children I would like to thank Redrow for their generosity in supporting the Year 6 leavers event on 21st July. The past year has been difficult for everyone, in particular the children who have missed out on things that we have in previous years taken for granted. The Year 6 staff and I are especially grateful to Redrow for the contribution they have made, which has allowed us to hold this event in a safe way, and a day which we hope the children will remember!”
