We’ve begun work on two new developments in the town - The Finches at Hilton Grange, off Lower Road, and Grace Fields at Hilton Grange, off Greensbridge Lane. To celebrate, we’re launching a community fund for the area.
This voluntary gift to the community is over and above the statutory investment linked to the Halewood planning consents, which will deliver a boost of around £7 million to the local community and bring much needed affordable new homes.
Sian Pitt, sales director at Lancashire, said: “Community plays a huge part in choosing where to live and we hope this fund will play a part in forging an ever-stronger sense of community in Halewood as our new homes are built. We want to ensure that as the area grows it retains that important neighbourhood spirit and sense of camaraderie.
“Our community funds have made an impact in other areas of Merseyside and Lancashire. We very much want to hear from good causes in the Halewood area, especially those near to our Hilton Grange developments, to find out how we can help them make a difference locally.”
Our previous funding across the North West has helped schools, charities, youth groups, sports teams and individuals at the very heart of the community, providing a range of resources including play and learning equipment, sports kits, furniture, food parcels, counselling and more.
The Halewood Fund is linked to the first phase of 196 new homes underway at The Finches at Hilton Grange, and a further 148 homes that are being built at Grace Fields at Hilton Grange, both part of the East Halewood Sustainable Extension. As well as new homes, the developments will include green open spaces and wildlife habitats, providing places for future homeowners to enjoy nature on their doorstep.
To support the growth of the neighbourhood we’ve agreed to significant investment to improve local facilities, from healthcare and schools to highways, bus services and even equipment for the local leisure centre.
