A social enterprise that supports thousands of children across Merseyside will be turning its attention to Halewood thanks to new funding.
The Builder Book Project delivers mental health themed imagination boxes to children and families across Merseyside.
And now, thanks to our Halewood Community Fund, the project has received £1,250 to bring its workshops to children to Halewood.
Established by author Natalie Reeves Billing, and run by Split Perspectivz, the Builder Book project aims to improve the lives of children and young families through storytelling, creativity, fun and learning.
"Thanks to Redrow our CIC, Split Perspectivz can now continue our Builder Book workshops and resource deliveries for families in the Halewood area,” said Natalie.
“Following our work with the Knowsley Snap program in the summer last year, we were keen to return to Halewood to deliver our child mental health-themed creativity workshops, and now, thanks to Redrow, we can make that happen.”
The Halewood Community Fund was launched by us to help community groups, charities or other good causes based in, or serving, the area around our two new developments in the town - The Finches at Hilton Grange, off Lower Road, and Grace Fields at Hilton Grange, off Greensbridge Lane.
Sian Pitt, sales director for Lancashire, said: “This project is the perfect example of why we run these community funds.
“Builder Book helps so many families in our communities and I’m sure their workshops will provide huge benefits to children in Halewood.”
