Award-winning children’s author Steve Smallman has done a special reading of his book ‘Santa is Coming to Lancashire’ from the comfort of our show homes at Worden Gardens, in Leyland.
The magical book details all the plans Santa is making with his elves and reindeers to visit the county. And, while Covid may have interrupted our plans to hold special Christmas events at our new homes developments this year, everyone is confident the main man will still be here on Christmas Eve.
Sian Pitt, sales director at our Lancashire division, said: “Christmas this year won’t be quite what we’re used to. Normally we would have organised special events at our developments to bring the community together but social distancing and lockdowns made it too difficult.
“However we want to reassure all the children of Lancashire that Santa will still be visiting – the Government has already confirmed that he’ll be operating within safety guidelines!
“We thought we’d help get everyone excited for his visit with our Lancashire themed Christmas book reading.”
The video has been shared via email with customers and also on our social media pages so families can share the video with their children in the run up to Christmas Day.

To further spread some Christmas cheer, we’ve also organised donations of Amazon Kindles to care homes in Oldham so residents can connect virtually with family they may not have seen all year during the Christmas season.
