1st Lowton Scouts successfully applied for a £500 grant from us to purchase new camping kits ready for the warmer months.
The fund was launched to help community groups, charities and other good causes based in, or serving, the area around our new development Oakwood Fields, in Lowton.
“Our camping kit was looking a little old and worn out, and we wanted to get our young people back out amongst nature, so now thanks to this funding it means we can,” said Emma Norris, club leader at 1st Lowton Scouts.
“It will be nice to be able to get the group out and about scouting and doing what we do best, making new friends, having amazing adventures, and learning new skills… once the weather warms up! Thank you very much to Redrow for this funding.”
The community grants are in addition to more than £400,000 of contributions Redrow is providing to the local community around its development in Lowton as part of the planning process.
Located in a semi-rural location, the development will have just over 100 three and four-bedroom homes. For more information visit our website.
