Bike Week is an annual celebration of cycling, held in partnership with Cycling UK, with the aim of encouraging more people to cycle more often. It is never too early and certainly never too late to get on your bike! More people than ever are choosing to cycle, yet not everyone is confident about being able to cycle safely on busy roads.
Whether you're learning to ride a bike for the first time, wanting to polish up on your skills , or want your little one to feel confident on two wheels, our free Bike Week 2023 cycling courses at Colindale Gardens on Saturday 10 June could be just what you’re looking for. We're even throwing in a delicious packed lunch!
Cycling is an excellent way to promote physical and mental well-being, and Bike Week provides a unique opportunity to highlight the benefits of cycling and the joys of being outdoors. It's a low-impact exercise that's suitable for all ages, and it's an eco-friendly mode of transportation that can help reduce traffic congestion and air pollution. We hope that our Bike Week event will inspire more people to take up cycling and enjoy the many benefits that come with it.
These sessions will be run by Blue Cycle, a Bikeability-approved trainer, and will be available for up to six attendees for the adult session and up to 10 attendees for the children’s sessions.
