Our Midlands division – whose developments include Poets Grange in Stratford-upon-Avon – donated £200 to local organisation, Stratford Music Network, as part of its Community Fund initiative, which supports local charities.
Through their SPARK programme, the Stratford Music Network is aiming to bring musical opportunities to youngsters aged between 11 and 16 who might not ordinarily be able to afford them. The initiative focuses on young people from marginalised communities, helping to improve mental health and wellbeing by introducing them to music and placing them in rock bands. SPARK provides instruments, music and tuition, as well as the opportunity to meet new friends and learn new skills.
Alongside Stratford Music Network, six other charities benefited from the pot of funding – which saw a total of £5,000 donated – including West Mercia Search and Rescue, Worcestershire Animal Rescue and Changes Tamworth. Elaine Cartwright, Sales Director for Redrow Midlands, said: “We’re so pleased to be able to donate funds to these worthy causes in the Midlands, such as Stratford Music Network. These charities and organisations are vital to the local communities they operate within and we’re proud to support them.
“All seven groups – which are very diverse – provide vital services to the area and we are delighted to have been able to support them. Stratford Music Network is an important part of the local community, and we were thrilled to be support their mission of enabling more young people to experience the joys and benefits of music.”
