Redrow Midlands – whose developments include Kensington Gate, in Worcester – donated £1,500 to local organisation, the Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter, as part of its Community Fund initiative, which supports local charities.
Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter provides vital treatment and rehoming support for abandoned cats, dogs and ex-battery hens. Run mostly by volunteers, the shelter is powered by a desire to ease the distress of animals who have been abandoned or mistreated, and aims to place them into loving homes.
The money received from Redrow Midlands will be used for a variety of essentials – including microchipping, shelter and care, food, bedding and spraying.
Alongside West Mercia Search and Rescue, six other charities benefited from the pot of funding – which saw a total of £5,000 donated – including Stratford Music Network, West Mercia Search and Rescue and Changes Tamworth.
Elaine Cartwright, Sales Director for Redrow Midlands, said: “We’re so pleased to be able to donate funds to such a worthy cause. Worcestershire Animal Shelter is vital to the community and the welfare of animals – helping them lead the purr-fect lives they deserve.
“The work Worcestershire Animal Shelter does is very important, and I think I speak on behalf of the whole team here at Redrow Midlands when I say we’re incredibly grateful for their care and compassion towards our furry friends!”
