We’ve donated £800 to the Friends of Hanbury C of E First School, £750 to St Peter’s PTA and £200 to Droitwich Friends of Girl-Guiding as part of our community fund.
The Midlands division, which has just sold out at The Orchards, on Pulley Lane, is dedicated to supporting local communities in and around its developments. The donation forms part of our Community Fund, which will see us donate a total of £5,000 to local organisations throughout 2021 and into 2022.
Friends of Hanbury School is a parents association raising funds and hosting events to support Hanbury C of E First School. The donation will fund replacement sheds for the school to store valuable equipment which the pupils use as part of their lessons.
St Peter’s PTA, another local parents’ association, organises events and activities for the St Peter's C of E First School children to enjoy. The parents will be using their funds to rebuild some of the areas of forest school that were vandalised last year.
The third donation will support Droitwich Friends of Girl Guiding, which enables girls and young women to develop their potential and to make a difference, through activities and challenges, guided by trained adult volunteers. The group will use the funds to continue supporting the girls in new and exciting activities.
Rachael Whittaker, Vice Chair of St Peter’s PTA said: “On behalf of everyone at the St Peter’s PTA we would like to thank Redrow Midlands for their kind donation.
“We were thrilled to find out we had been chosen for the community fund. We cannot wait to rebuild our forest school. We know the smiles on children’s faces when we reveal it will be wonderful.
“Thank you Redrow!”
Elaine Cartwright, Sales Director for Midlands, said: “We’re very pleased to be able to donate funds to three fantastic organisations in Droitwich.
“We understand that these organisations need support now more than ever before to ensure they can continue their fantastic work supporting local children. All three groups provide essential outlets for local youngsters to make new friends, try new hobbies and activities – and importantly, have fun!”
We’re also building new homes at the nearby Poets Grange. Located five miles south of the historic Stratford-upon-Avon, the development is part of the wider Meon Vale scheme which will feature a leisure hub, sports pitches and plenty of public open space once complete. Add in the great transport links to Warwick, Worcester, and Birmingham, combined with all the cultural heritage and charm of Shakespeare's birthplace, and you have the ideal location to settle down and raise a family.
