Recreate Redrow challenged gamers of all ages to recreate one of our distinctive homes or developments using popular gaming platforms including Minecraft, The Sims, Roblox and even Animal Crossing.
Judges were overwhelmed with the response, receiving over 260 entries from gamers aged from six to 45, and sought the expert advice of YouTube gaming star, Clare Siobhan, to help choose three worthy winners.
Blown away by the creativity and technical prowess that was evident across all entries, the judging panel were left particularly amazed by the accurate recreation of our house designs - both inside and out - by Henry, 10, Jake, 15, and Angela, 41.
Henry, from Chester, was named winner of the Primary School category, wowing the judges with a YouTube video explaining the process of building his Redrow home on Minecraft. Winner of the Secondary School category was Jake, from Wiltshire, who created an entire street of different Redrow house designs using Roblox. And finally, Angela from Scotland, emerged victorious in the above 17 category, after using her experience of playing The Sims to recreate The Sandringham with amazing accuracy, a popular home in our award-winning Heritage Collection.
Judge, Matt Grayson, Group Customer and Marketing Director, said: “Recreate Redrow has showcased the exceptional digital ability and creative thinking of gamers across the nation. We have been blown away by the number of entries received and the talent from gamers of all ages – including as young as six!
“Henry, Jake and Angela all demonstrated a fantastic eye for detail, and a clear understanding of structural design – two essential skills for anyone looking to work in housebuilding, which is why they were crowned our worthy winners.
