Redrow South Midlands, which is currently building new homes at King’s Meadow, on King’s Avenue, has presented a Cambridgeshire-based charity, PosAbility, with a £500 donation as part of its Community Fund initiative.
The funds will be used to support the charity’s one-hour exercise sessions which are hosted across Cambridgeshire. The physical therapy sessions, which include chair-based and specialist exercises, are designed for those diagnosed with a neurological health condition.
Each session has been created to improve its member’s physical wellbeing and help them to unwind, while offering an opportunity for them to meet new friends and pursue new hobbies.
PosAbility is a small charity based in Cambridgeshire and was set up by fitness instructors who recognised an unmet need for exercise support for those living with health conditions. The charity delivers exercise sessions for people living with long-term neurological health conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, arthritis, and stroke survivors.
Sarah Bellow, Chief Executive Officer at PosAbility, said: “We are thrilled to receive this donation from Redrow South Midlands which will be used to purchase new exercise equipment. This donation will help to bring members of the Cambridgeshire community together through a love of exercise – thank you again Redrow!”
Andrew Newman, Head of Sales for Redrow South Midlands, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the health and wellbeing of those with neurological health conditions living in Cambridgeshire as part of our Community Fund initiative.
“We are delighted to support a cause that brings the Ely community together all year round and can’t wait to hear how everyone is getting on enjoying the equipment and the new exercises they offer.
