We are currently building new homes at Alconbury Weald II, on Senliz Road, South Midlands and have donated funds to Hartford Hedgehog Rescue, a charity which helps unwell, injured and orphaned hedgehogs across the county.
The funds have been put towards installing electricity, plumbing, air conditioning, storage and worktops in their new hedgehog hospital. The donation will also be used to help support the charity with vet bills and medications.
Hartford Hedgehog Rescue is one of six hedgehog rescue services in Cambridgeshire, which are all working at capacity. The charity is run by volunteers and relies entirely upon donations to maintain their vital service.
Suzanne Tibbetts, the founder of Hartford Hedgehog Rescue, said: “This is such a fantastic donation for us as it will have a huge impact on the number of hedgehogs we can rescue. As a charity, we rely on kind donations such as this to enable us to keep providing care to unwell, injured and orphaned hedgehogs across the county. Thank you, Redrow.”
Andrew Newman, Head of Sales for Redrow South Midlands, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Hartford Hedgehog Rescue with the incredible care they offer our hedgehog neighbours.
“The support that the charity provides ensures that we can keep protecting the fantastic wildlife in Cambridgeshire and that we can maintain a healthy hedgehog population. We also know that hedgehog rescue services are currently at capacity, so we hope that the new hospital and our contribution can help make a real difference.
“As members of the Cambridgeshire community, we want to create and support thriving communities in and around the developments where we are building new homes, and supporting Hartford Hedgehog Rescue was a wonderful opportunity to do just that.”
Cambridge is a well-connected location, with accessible transport links to London for busy commuters, and a choice of three to five-bedroom homes for those with growing families. In the South Midlands, we are currently building new homes at Tudor Meadow, on Babraham Road, Cottenham Grove, on Rampton Road, and All Saints Gardens, on Haslingfield Road.
